Introductions

We prefer to call People App a social medium, as in something that mediates, not a media platform. Connections happen between people, not on a platform. We want to avoid the common situation where one connects virtually with thousands of people but doesn't know most of them. People App is about genuine human relationships.

People App's growth will be tempered by our conviction to go with real people and real connections. On a social media platform, another bot just started to follow me today — it's very frustrating... I care only about real people with lived experiences. Another fake profile doesn't add any value.

We are building a multi-sided marketplace, an emporium of sorts, where new projects will be born, partners will meet for new ventures, and opportunities will be discovered. But it starts with people you know, people you've met, shaken hands with, and looked in the eyes.

Every new connection on the People App is an introduction. There is no option to just add somebody out of the blue without context. Peeps AI is a super-connector that will activate your weak ties but will do so via clear, purposeful introductions.

After a successful demo, we are hard at work on our first release, and introductions are at the center of our design. We simplified a lot in the spirit of agility and yet kept intros in v0.1: it is at the core of our value proposition.

I love introducing people: once you know who's a good match, making a connection is pure joy. You feel like you're advancing the very nature. Every meaningful connection is a fork in the road of life.
